I just called and told the girl to take my number off their list and complained that they were creepy, not legit and that it wasn't the first time she's heard that. She hung up on me halfway through. They sent me more info and made an appointment to call my back. I heard back a few days. They always call while I am at work and never leave a message. They call several times a day. To Praying Mantis: NEVER give anyone over the phone your private information. Even if they say they are with the government. They are just a voice with no proof who they are. November 19, 2014, 2:04 pm Got a call today from someone touting the 2010 Obama Student Loan relief legislation. Her thick Nigerian accent was a dead give away, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. She promised I would not have to pay my student loan back at all. Then she said my interest rate would be reduced to zero. Then she wanted my email address and limited power of attorney. When I questioned the authenticity of the agency, she started talking about how they were legitimate and she didn't want to go to prison. That is when I ended the call. December 2, 2014, 3:25 pm I get calls constantly numerous times throughout the day. I don't pick up for the majority of the time. If you answer and don't say "Hello." they hang up. I said hello once and it was a fraudulent Loan Consolidation Company that wanted my SSN. It's unbelievable people are allowed to run call centers or businesses like this. December 5, 2014, 1:50 pm I made the mistake awhile back thinking this was the agency whom I have my student loan with the after giving them all of my info they tried to take $400 out of my checking account. April 30, 2015, 12:56 pm I was getting at least 10 of these calls per day. Finally I left my fax machine on, and after a couple days of receiving the fax they stopped calling. If you see this number come up on your phone DON'T ANSWER and leave your answering machine off! Once you answer they know they have a live caller and they will continue to call.
