I reported to do not call and FCC when they call a while back.. Nothing seems to ever be done. This is like a terror attack on Americans. Why can't these people be arrested/? July 15, 2016, 1:51 pm 6 calls from these "scammers" in the past 5 days. I know that they want access to my PC so that they can get my personal info. From what I hear they will show you that they have deleted suspect files but in fact they have deleted useless files that every computer has. Then, they want to either sign you up for additional billable service or just steal your personal info. Microsoft would never have unprofessional sounding people from another country calling you from in what sounds like a garage as their reps!!!! August 3, 2016, 3:10 pm Call said Goldsboro NC. (I am in NV but had lived in GSB in past). Could not understand guy very well. I asked what this was about and he said our home computer. I tried to find out WHO he was called for. He gave my dad's name. i asked him when he had talked to my dad.. he said 2 days ago... I said that is pretty good, and was waiting to hear what he said next. He hung up. More of the story... I did not tell him my dad had died 3 mo ago Also, 4 days ago, I had installed Win7 then "upgraded" to Win10. They said Win10 talks to MS a lot??? I wonder. August 29, 2016, 1:57 pm When we receive calls from unknown callers we don't answer but wait for them to talk to our message machine. They listened to the whole message but left none . . . sign of a telemarketer or a scam. Now we're back to changing our message on our answer machine.
