March 23, 2015, 10:42 am The offer for me was $1500 in free home security equipment with free installation in exchange for a advertisement sign placed on my lawn. They must manufacture the home security devices for next to nothing. The $1500 price they give you is for retail I'm sure. The boxes probably cost $10 or $20 in parts if mass produced. If the system calls them during trouble then it costs them nothing to monitor your home as they don't get called until there is a problem. No costs for them. So if they sell advertising it must be expensive or more than the system costs. Caller Company: Home Security Sales Scheme Caller Type: Telemarketer

April 15, 2015, 2:10 pm In my case this was some weird home security exchange offer that told me I get the free home security system installed if I would install a sign on my front lawn. What kind of weirdo wants to offer you free home security services in exchange for a sign on your lawn? Sounded a bit suspicious to not ask for money or get a contract signed? Are they casing my house for robbery? Trying to get an excuse to get someone to come inside my home with the free installation? No idea what is going on here. May 8, 2015, 5:37 pm I got an automated message about a free installation for a home security system. if you press 1 you can speak to a live person and then ask to be removed from their calling database. I did this and they were polite enough. Time will tell if they were honest with me about removing my details. Caller Company: Home Security Install Caller Type: Telemarketer

May 31, 2015, 8:00 pm I my case I got an automated call, not a live person. It was telling me about the benefits of a home secureity system with some statistics on FBI crime records. A fear tactic I guess trying to soften people up for the hard sell. Mentioned that the system was free with free installation. Caller Company: Home Security Caller Type: Telemarketer

June 23, 2015, 11:22 pm I got an sales call from a home security salesman. The man told me that I had won $1500 in home security services which included installation of the free system. There is of coarse monthly payments after, but what they don't tell you is that most home security companies will give you the system for free anyway. It's the monthly services where these companies make their money. Just lies about free stuff that isn't free so you'll buy something Caller Company: Home Security Caller Type: Telemarketer |
