November 6, 2014, 5:22 pm This is not a fraudulent number. It is an automated system validating a transaction. To recognize you as the account holder it requires validation with non financial information and if you pass will disclose the intended message. You will only receive the call if a transaction validation is required. If you do not action within 20 days the call will be transferred to the collection services to contact you. Remember to protect your information, when RBC contacts you, it will never ask you to validate your identity with financial information i.e. account numbers, but will do so by asking other details such as date of birth, postal code and so on.
