January 4, 2015, 9:25 am This is Midland Credit Management, a debt collector, associated with company Midland Funding LLC. Mentioned a loan they were looking to get repaid and I told them to get bent as I don't pay back debts without formal letters to take to my lawyer. As far as I'm concerned statue of limitations has passed or this debt is a false claim. February 19, 2015, 4:28 pm Debt collector called "Midland Credit" and they said I had a loan that had not been paid back and has now gone into collections. I don't have any loans that I know off and have never been informed in writing of any debts by mail so this is very unusual for me to hear. They told me that I owed money on a debt with Verizon from years ago and this is not the true. Everything has been paid off. March 29, 2015, 10:13 am This number has been calling at least twice a day for a few days. This morning (Sunday) at 9AM!! From the other comments it sounds like Midland Credit. I got fed up and picked up the phone and hung up and blocked it!! I'm sure they are calling from other toll free numbers and I will block them too! I don't owe any debt. March 30, 2015, 9:48 am every single damn morning at 830 they call. i have twin new borns that keep me up all night and 830am is my time to rest. but nope, they call back to back. i finally answered the phone and they dont say anything. it's pretty sad that i have to turn my ringers off because of these a*****es! it's sickening because i am on the don not call list and it doesnt even matter! i wish i could sue these people for harassment! March 31, 2015, 3:47 pm This company calls my cell phone all the time, they never leave a message. Several of the numbers that were listed above have been used. I now have entered all those listed. I hope this is the end of them. I owe no one anything and have an excellent credit score 830 .

They should be made by law to check that they are calling the right people before they make such calls accusing a person of being a dead beat. April 27, 2015, 6:42 pm I have been receiving calls from this number on my cell phone and my work phone. They are calling in to the front office receptionist asking for me and informing them that they are doing an investigation on my. Needless to say this is causing problems for me on my job and I am not sure how to keep them from calling. The do not leave a message on my cell phone but do on my work phone and the tone and calls are very threatening. I have received these calls before and have been advised by legal departments to request that they send me all information pertaining to the collection in writing but they normally become very aggitated and threatening. GOOODLUCK stopping them lol, my recommendation is to just keep blocking the numbers and hopefully they stop. They are breaking many laws committing cyber fraud. May 7, 2015, 5:39 pm Machine picked up, they hung up. I never call back because they don't always have your number and if you call back they then have your number. I am on National Do Not Call Registry and good for the most part. However some like this get through. I just signed up on "nomorobo" and hope this does the trick. May 9, 2015, 10:10 am This number appears on the caller ID as "Basic Talk", not Midland Credit as some have mentioned above. They do not leave a message. They called a couple days ago and again this morning at 8am and 8:05am...on a Saturday! If they are a debt collector, they're barking up the wrong tree...I have no outstanding debt. I decided to call the number to tell the company I don't need a good phone deal, assuming that it was Basic Talk. The automated answering message said Midland Credit Mgmt. May 20, 2015, 9:12 pm I have been receiving as many as 5 calls per day. They are trying to collect a debt on Basic Talk. I don't have Basic Talk and never did. I answered the first, call from them, they asked for a woman's name. I told them that no one with that name lived here. Since then I have been receiving several calls per day. May 21, 2015, 8:30 am This ignorant idoits contiuosly call its getting pathetic, this have been happening for 2 weeks now going on to three, this is going to end. I am so glad I finally decided to research the number and all you wonderful people listed your problems as well. I am sure the first time they call it was with a different number but they ask for someone named Bill. No one in my family living has the name Bill, I told them they had the wrong number and that was that. The next day the same number asking for another person, I started to get the home owner involve but I decided I would give them a warning. Never used that number again. Recently the number they have been calling with is a toll free number: 855-808-0414, DO NOT ANSWER. When I tried to 'hang up' some how this company got into my phone. May 22, 2015, 12:14 pm I don't know that's it's credit collections that calls, but it's a foreign man who always says that he is going to connect my call(when he's the one who calls me) and I just hang up on him. He sounds like a man who told me that I was having problems with my computer. He even raised his voice to me, at which point I told him what to do with a computer. June 11, 2015, 11:06 pm Junk debt collectors that are desperate to get anything. They buy junk debt for next to nothing off of credit card companies and then go after people hoping they will be honest and pay the debts when they have no legal requirement to do so. Big money in this as many people stupidly pay the debts to be honest. However, you may be off the hook due to statute of limitations so I would consider that before you hand over any money to them. June 17, 2015, 5:56 pm I called this number back and it was "Midland Collection Co" and they were looking to discuss repayment of a debt from a family member that doesn't live in my home anymore. I discussed this with the family member and they told me that the debt is over 10 years old and so legally there is no requirement to pay. Just an honor system of good faith if you choose to. I made the mistake of answering the phone without first checking out the number calling. They had called before but it was too late.
