February 11, 2015, 1:50 am The person calling claims to be a senior manager that needs to make a very important decision in my favor that will have legal consequences. Sounds like a debt collector that is playing games with words to try to skirt laws on calls like this scaring people into paying them with little legal costs as possible. February 11, 2015, 1:53 am A debt collection company called Credit Risk Management. They are mos likely calling about a debt that I had with the bank TD Canada Trust from years ago. I am hoping this will be their last annoyance before they sell the debt off or write the debt off. That's usually how this work.s Ignore them enough and they just write you off. I do it all the time with FedEx when they try to rip me off with cross border fees. Just through the paperwork in the garbage if you disagree with the debt overbilling. September 22, 2015, 11:21 am They started calling about a month ago. I don't have any debt problems, although the person who used to own my phone number did. Still, it's been over 2 years and I thought those calls had stopped. However, CRM doesn't actually talk to me. They call and say "Credit Risk Management Canada" and then hang up. Or they call and it's dead air and they hang up. They call almost every weekday; sometimes multiple times a day. I just reported them to CRTC. Caller Company: CRM Caller Type: Debt Collector |
