So if you did business with someone such as a bank they might call you to ask you how the customer experience was. I think they mostly do political consumer surveys though. September 2, 2015, 3:26 am The caller id said "Access Research" and the call content was a political survey call about election and political issues. The survey didn't take very long and the person was polite. Will block the number now though to stop future nuisance calls. September 29, 2015, 6:20 pm Given that it rang only a few times and not reaching the answering machine, and the fact that so many people reported this, I think this is purely a probe, a scan, to generate a database with people that pick up the phone fairly quickly and identify with "hello".
