Claimed they were calling to collect on an old utility bill. I hung up. No official documentation provided so I will assume the statute of limitations has expired or this is a scam. March 7, 2015, 3:52 am The caller claimed to be with "Harris and Harris debt collectors" and said I had outstanding dent that needed to be paid. I have no records of any debts owed on my end so I have no serious need to take this caller seriously. Wanted me to verify some personal information, but to me that is laughable considering no proof of dent has been provided. March 28, 2016, 2:50 pm I have been getting calls at least four to six times a day from this number about the IRS coming after me for debt I don't have. Scammers. The IRS does not call people. They send letters. I know because my ex Ass fianc� had $45,580 in federal back taxes, and $20,200 in state back taxes he never filed for. April 2, 2016, 6:05 pm It's 5pm on a Saturday and Harris & Harris is still in the office to call me and inform me that they are debt collectors and to call them back during the week. I haven't got any debts that need settling, and I work during the week anyway, so I'm not calling back. I'm also not sure how they got my phone number.
