That is usually a sign that you are dealing with lowlifes or total scammers. Debt is not something you can be arrested for so that points to an extortion scam. November 20, 2013, 1:02 pm These people have called from various numbers, numerous threats, and of course calling to summon me for an account I never had. Same song and dance as all of you and with all the same names and numbers. My husband was even threatened with his life. These people are scum and scam artists and they have been reported to the authorities, FTC,FBO you name it. They even call and harass my mother. This is getting ridiculous and I want it to stop! March 7, 2015, 4:25 am Either a scam or some kind of junk debt collection agency that buys up old junk debt (and clearly got ripped off on their purchase) as I was told I needed to pay back a debt from 2006 when I have filed for bankruptcy and cleared all my debts from that time.
