August 4, 2014, 12:47 pm This number appears to be legit. I attempted to purchase something online and the card failed. I got a call from this number from someone claiming to be B of A asking me about the exact transaction that failed. I told her that I did indeed wish to purchase from Groupon (odd transaction to flag). She said "Thank you. I have reactivated your account. If you have any concerns please call us back at the number on your caller id" I have no intention of calling that number back, I will stick with the number on the card, but since she didn't ask any personal information other than my name, and she knew I attempted to purchase something from a well-known site that fail, I will assume this is legit. November 6, 2014, 4:29 pm DO NOT give that number any information whatsoever, they are 100% bogus and not in any way associated with Bank of America. I called the legitimate Bank of America number and reported this scammer number. They left a voicemail and knew my name, so I called back and the person didn't even identify themselves, say a company name or anything, just asked for my account number. That is when I knew they were not only full of it, a scam, but also not bright. Caller Company: Phishing Group Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher

November 9, 2014, 1:25 pm Bank fraudsters. They don't identify themselves properly and demand too much personal info. Call the number on the back of your cards or bank documents to be 100% certain that your accounts are in good standing. Never speak to someone who calls you out of the blue. Banks don't do that usually, and if they did they would simply ask questions related to your shopping to investigate transctions, not get personal information from you Caller Company: Bank Phishers Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher

November 19, 2014, 5:47 pm This number IS a valid number for fraud on a BOA card. This number called my cell, then called my wife's cell (which both numbers are listed in our BOA profile) and left her a message. We called the number on the back of the BOA card and asked them to check for possible fraud on our credit card and they saw the fradulant charge attempt that was declined immediately at the POS. Somebody had tried to use our card's number. After verifying we didn't make that charge, they deactivated our current card and sent a replacement card delivered to our doorstep two days later. My advice is not to answer this call, but to call the BOA number on the back of your card ASAP because there was a possible fraudulent charge attempt on your card. If you don't call they will probably shut off your card. Caller Company: Unknown Caller Type: Unknown

January 31, 2015, 9:12 pm It's a legitimate number, which I didn't pick up. Then I called back the number on my BofA credit card. Turned out my card number was stolen and there are fraud transactions on my account. Good I didn't ignore this call.
Not BOA! Verified with BOA
May 7, 2015, 5:13 pm I got a voice mail and was asked to call this number for a fraud purchase on my card. I did not. Instead, I called BOA Fraud department at 877-833-5617. They did not find any fraud record. They searched their BOA directory and did not find this number. Always call the number on your card. Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher

August 24, 2015, 5:29 pm I did receive almos the exact VM when I returned from vacation, and I was very skeptical of the caller/number. So I called the main phone number on the back of my CC, and explained to them the situation. I was then transferred to (and give the 855-255-0613) same number as BOA's faudulent direct line. So it's valid, just FYI. Call BOA and verify yourself.

October 14, 2015, 12:17 am This is a legit number from the Bank Of America Fraud Dept. They confirmed the fraud, but I was not happy because when they called me it was from a odd number that is not listed on the internet. So I had to call them direct to find this out. November 17, 2015, 4:36 pm I don't know why people insist a call like this from some questionable number is phishing. That term originates from fishing, which is basically trying to extract information from you via telephone. I just received a call from this number for potential fraud activity and they did not ask ("phish") for any personal information except to say if I recognized the charges. They didn't ask me to verify my identity, ask for the card number, ask for anything. Now, one could say it is "phishy" in that it shares traits of real phishing attempts, but don't call it phishing unless they actually asked you for information.
