October 2, 2014, 5:37 pm I was given a message to call Sage that then led me to a message that the 800# had changed to 807-788-1246. It proceeded to ask me before it gave me the new "800"# if I wanted to hear the number & to dial it. I pressed 1 for yes to get the number which sounded a bit off then I killed the call while it was still ringing because I did not want to reach whoever was on the other line. October 18, 2014, 3:12 pm I just received my bill and found a charge of 2.99. I called my provider and they reversed the charge. They also block anyone from making a collect call to my house. I did not make this call nor did I OK a collect call. While the operator was looking up my bill, I searched the Net and found this blog. Thanks for your posts. January 22, 2015, 9:13 am Just got off the phone with Videotron and got a credit as soon as cust service rep saw what the charge was. I got billed for dir. assistance. I had dialed 855-469-6378, no were near their number, and got message that number was no longer valid and to please wait while someone helps me. When a person came online they acted like they didn't understand me and were asking me to repeat everything I was saying. took me a couple of seconds to realize I was being scammed. February 6, 2015, 9:02 pm Well, my experience with this number is different than all the other ones I am reading. A Red Cross canvasser came to my door and gave his charity pitch, then asked if he did a good job, and if he did, would I please call a toll free number that was printed on a Red Cross bookmark he gave me, and tel them he did a good job. I called the toll free number, and got a recording that this phone number was changed to 807-788-1246. So I called that and got put on hold, and hung up. I'm not going to ring up minutes on a phone number that isn't free. Then I thought I'd come look it up. April 10, 2015, 2:33 pm I recently saw a charge of $3.49 on my Bell bill and I made an inquiry with Bell as to what this charge was for. I had to think back to Feb 6th, but remembered I had dialled a 1-800 number that was incorrect and an operator came on the line to assist me with finding the correct 1-800 number that I needed to reach the party I was calling. The charge was because I accepted the assistance of the operator. Bell explained that this was a third party charge but would credit me because I was not aware that I would be charged for this assistance. Called Bell and they advised that the charge is due to the assistance of an operator when calling and to be careful by not accepting this assistance. Bell agreed to reverse the charges this time but to be careful next time.

June 13, 2015, 8:18 pm May 12, retrieved a voice mail sent from 855-268-1447 at 9:21 supposedly from Ines at Sears Credit Card, asking to call back 1-888-714-2016. We trieds to call back twice a bit later, but no one answered. Now on my BELL June 10 Bill, I see a $3.49 charge plus taxes on that date for TRITON GLOBAL ASSIST ON 807-788-1246 Operator handled -customer dialed rate. Searching the above three numbers on GOOGLE, I find out that many people have been scamed way back tand complained to their various phone service providers and a number of them got reimbursed. Rogers representative said they would reverse the charges this time as good will, but indicated that I will need to pay attention to these types of phone calls in the future. I advised them to google "807-788-1246 triton global" to see that this is a scam & not an error on my part. They said they would report this issue to a manager. April 4, 2016, 5:05 pm Received a charge for $3.89 HST on my bell bill for an allegedly operator assisted-customer dialed call in February. I did not place any call, but may have received an incoming call to my machine. Called bell in reference to the 807-788-1246 number and was told that they no longer credit the billing due to a change in policy in the past 3 months. Was directed to call 1-866-340-4990, where I spoke to a "Danielle" in Calgary. She insisted that I must have placed the call and pressed "1" to get billed the $3.89 hst. She also insisted that she was the only person at Triton Global that I could speak to, and that the billing amount was my problem. I called Bell back and after speaking to several representatives was provided with a billing credit for the total of $4.03. April 18, 2016, 5:15 pm On March 11 I used directory assistance to get a phone number. Bell Canada has now outsourced this feature, to Triton Global Assist!!! which ended up costing me $3.89 plus tax, $4.40 total. I will never again try to find a number by phone...... Google... You have my vote!!

July 10, 2016, 1:38 pm Had twice (in January and in June) a Usage-other carrier messages for 3.89 and the number called was of course 807 788 1246. Those came on my Bell-bills and the other carrier is the f**kin' Triton Global Assist. Both times the amount was waved by Bell after calling them. This is scam and phishing guys. Bell reversed no problem and put a block on 3rd party billing so it won't happen again. This is a scam - shame on you Triton whoever you are.
