They are just looking to sell tickets to the lottery for charity purposes and often recall past donors as well. May 7, 2015, 4:48 pm Charity calls for the Sick Kids lottery. Nothing illegal going on here, no scams at all. Just annoying charity calls trying to drum up some cash for the charity. I was finally able to speak to someone about the calls and showed them the posts on this website and said they would speak to their supervisor about getting a better opt-out option for people who don't want the calls.
