February 24, 2016, 1:08 pm After reading this page, it looks like they claim to be different companies depending on who you have. We often get calls regarding our energy services however all of them tend to be scams. We always call our provider to confirm they didn't have anyone call us. I had a woman from this agency tell me that I was rude and that she'd have me fired because I told her I couldn't give out my supervisor's schedule. My boss called the main number and sent them an email informing them that we would take legal action if they continued to harass us. February 25, 2016, 5:00 pm A lady named Ericka called my work line saying she was from JCP&L asking to speak with my boss. When i told her that he was unavailable she said it was very important that he call her back. I took a message but found it odd that JCP&L would be calling and so i looked up the number online and found all of these complaints. As a double check, i called the number back and they answered as "American Power and Gas Company". I gave them a piece of my mind. They should be scared to call back. When I politely explained on more than one occasion that the person he's looking for wasn't in the office, he became increasingly rude & demanding more information and phone numbers again. Once again I said my boss was busy and took her number. 30 min later a man walks in the door claiming he was in the area saving businesses money on utilities all we had to do was show him our PSEG bill. I told him my boss was busy and whatever he was selling we did not want and to please leave. He said he'd wait for my boss to finish and then talk about our PSEG bill. We called the police. March 9, 2016, 12:46 pm "Cindy" just called my office asking for my manager regarding the wholesale rate from American Power & Gas we are entitled to. I wouldn't let her speak to anyone other than me. She told me a bit about it then I stopped her and asked to be removed from call list. She got adamant and rude. She continued with her script and asked me to read the paragraph on our electric bill to her...I said "It says REMOVE US FROM YOUR CALL LIST" I repeated the request a 3rd time and hung up on her. He called back before the message even got to me and said it was urgent that he speak with the account holder right away about a rebate. March 30, 2016, 3:07 pm We receive calls from these people almost every day. They demand to speak with the boss in regards to our PSE&G account. Today I told the caller "Jessica" that he was away on vacation and she said "well, you need to give me another number to reach him", this is urgent. It was actually pretty upsetting the way that she spoke with me and that is why I even decided to google the number. Wish there was a way to block them. I contacted AP&G in their office in Florida, and they said they did not call me. This has happened so many times that i can't count that high. This is a scam!! December 6, 2016, 4:43 pm Someone named "Franny" demanded to speak to the owner of our firm regarding a rate reduction. I mean...if you're going to try and scam people, at least be polite and don't make demands over the phone. We aren't dumb enough to give out account or billing info over the phone unless it's our direct power provider and when we have initiated the call. If we were eligible for a rate reduction, they would have known and not needed our personal information to verify. I'm really surprised how stupid scammers are these days. December 21, 2016, 12:19 pm They call our business ALL THE TIME! They keep asking for the person for charge, and it is only two of us, and the owner is always out on jobs. They keep saying that they have been calling for weeks and really need to speak with the business manager. I keep telling them that they need to speak to my boss, and then they ask for another # to contact him. There is no way that I will be giving them another #. They don't say what it's for but, demanded that we transfer her to someone that handles the account/bill. Their name and phone number was taken down. January 13, 2017, 1:46 pm I work for a Marble and Granite shop in Hilliard Ohio. This number called today to inform me the owners wife could receive a rebate for her AEP bill..we all know you can't cut down AEP bills unless you are on a budget plan with them even then the price can not be cut. Anywhere he demanded I gave him anther number so he could speak with her directly. I declined the request and asked if the bill was payed. The man said yes so i began to question why he was calling to make the bill less if it was already payed. I told him she wasn't available. Moral of story i looked up the number on Google and it didn't link up to any business or AEP number. Please be smart if people like this call you. January 23, 2017, 2:49 pm Very pushy lady called Parsah called and insisted she had to speak with my boss urgently and she'd been trying to reach him for weeks. I asked a lot of questions, mainly about where she was calling from and after trying to weasel out of telling me she said she was calling from the West Penn Power Choice Program.
