October 3, 2014, 2:38 am A debt collection company called California Recovery Bureau which has a website at http://www.crbcollections.com/. The message on the line gave me a file number, but didn't say much else. Nothing about the nature of the debt or why they were calling. This may be illegal and I think debt collectors by law need to be quite clear about the debt and often sending you something on paper in the legal method of asking for a debt payment. Calls like this are usually a sign that you are dealing with a quick operation who knows the statute of limitation shas run out, but wants to trick you into paying anyway. March 14, 2015, 5:35 am This is some kind of repo company looking for someone in my family. They were asking for the location of my son and from his story he says they want to take he car away due to neing behind on payments. Bes to hide that car until the coast cleas as they seem very persistent. They asked for some personal information on my son including his ssn# so they could verify him. I refused to do that. November 14, 2015, 6:31 pm This is a debt collection agency, I can confirm that for everyone reading. They are called CRB and they were calling about unpaid bills on a car loan for someone else in my family. I can verify if this is legit at the time of this comment post. I don't believe the family member has any debts on their car and I sort the mail for the family home each day and have no seen any letters for CRB at all requesting payment. Can't trust this.
