October 16, 2014, 1:16 am They called twice on October 14th they did not answer when I said hello.Though they phoned again on October 15th this time some fellow answered told me he was from Microsoft Service Center. And went on to say my computer has sent them many error messages that he needed to get into my computer to sit down in front of it and let them fix the errors so my computer would work faster.I asked him for his number that he was calling from he gave me a number that was different from the one on my call display that I had just answered. He said why do you want to call me I said one has to be safe about these scams.I called him back and after numerous rings he answered as to Microsoft Service.I told him that he was a fake and what he was doing was fraudulent he then hung the phone up. November 19, 2014, 10:28 am I rec'd call to tell me hackers were trying to get into my computer. After giving me his name "Gary Foster" (I didn't know Indians had American names) & scam number (what a dork), I told him I didn't have a computer. He got very irate with me and told me I was lying. Wow, can't believe I was called a liar by a "legitimate" company trying to "help" me. Needled him for a while longer - he stated I will be getting more calls from him since I didn't get my computer fixed. Can't wait! Caller Company: Windows Tech Support Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher

January 2, 2015, 11:30 am I got a call from "Windows Support" that supposedly someone was trying to hack my computer. I could barely understand this person (obviously from India) - his story sounded bogus so I requested his phone number and told him I would call him from my cell phone to verify. While I had him on hold I googled the phone number and found many instances that this was a scam Caller Company: Windows Support Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher |
