March 23, 2015, 4:31 pm Caller id said "I". I answered and it was a fast-talking man trying to collect pledges for a police officers charity. He asked for the man or lady of the house and I tried telling him that my father-in-law was at work and asked if I could take a message. He said there was no message and again asked for the man or lady of the house. I said "no he is at work" again and tried telling him when a good time to call back was. He ignored me and kept talking. He said he would call at a later date. I said "try to call before 12:00pm" but he hung up on me. Very rude and unprofessional. Pretty sure it was a scam. If a charity is trying to collect donations I don't think they would be as rude as this man was. I'm not answering the phone if the "I" number calls again. March 26, 2015, 1:28 pm We get calls once or twice a day -- from all sorts of scammers -- when will people stop answering these calls? If there weren't enough fools out there who do, there'd be no more attempts! #1 Rule: either NEVER answer these types of calls, or leave the phone off the hook! I recently re-registered on the Do Not Call list (for Texas). If it were up to me, I'd get rid of the land line altogether! This idiot left no message, and originally was given a "Safe" badge on Safecaller.com -- I added a "Unsafe" badge on that site! Caller Company: "I" Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher

July 7, 2015, 11:29 pm This is a police donation scam. They are not a real police charity. They just want you to feel bad with guilt for the fake injured police or living relatives of dead police. July 10, 2015, 3:48 pm Calls almost daily both day and evening. Asks to speak to a specific name. Suspicious because no one with that first name lives here. We never give to charities over the phone and only give to LOCAL charities/chapters. Have had numerous annoying calls from alleged police soliciting from area codes in my own state-- why are we getting out of state calls like this unless its all a scam! December 27, 2015, 2:15 pm Recived call from this number today- CID read 'Charity'. Asked for Michelle, when I said it was the wrong number, it replied 'Oh I actually have the right number, but the wrong name', and went into the shpeil about law enforcement charity. I could tell it was a recording, and when I asked, the voice answered 'Do I sound that bad?' roboticly. When I asked for the last name of the 'Michelle' he was trying to reach, he hung up. January 25, 2016, 5:39 am called but sense I did not reconise # vdid not answer , but called it back and a recording , claiming to be an office ins. or something , blocked the # and looked it up , google seems a scammer for police according to other reports here
