The previous owner has obviously donated to something so they think is OK to call here. Telemarketer indeed. and exempt form don not call lists' laws. December 9, 2014, 9:21 pm The caller is named "Direct Line Tech" and they rasie money for various chrities or causes. Often you will get calls for school funding or Native American causes. You can get removed from their list by calling the number back and going through the menu until you are told to press 1 to be removed. February 27, 2015, 2:21 pm I like April was told they were ASU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION I thought it fishy and told them to call be back in a few days after I thought about it. I just really wanted to find out if it was legit. I contacted my advisor and was told NO. The ASU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION uses a 480 area code.

March 4, 2015, 5:48 pm I also have been receiving calls from this number and when I answered the first time they indicated they were from ASU alumni. Since I am an ASU alumbi, I thought it weird that they were calling from a VA area code. As mentioned in a comment above, I contacted ASU alumni and got confirmation as well that this number is not ASU alumni. Those calls would come from Tempe, AZ with a 480 area code. Thanks to the posts about this issue - I have called and after pressing 1 and being removed, I have not been contacted since.

August 22, 2015, 12:31 am Calls are for fundraising for charities and hospitals. The message was automated and gave me the option to press 1 to be removed. October 6, 2015, 10:29 pm The caller is named Direct Line Tech and they are a call center for non-profit organizations. They are a number of different causes they may be calling for. Native American, children's charities, colleges and hospitals. I have not donated to this company call center before and won't do so this time either. January 20, 2016, 11:12 pm I received a call from this number tonight at 9pm. I am glad I had my phone on silent or it would have woken my sleeping baby. The call showed coming from VA, which means it would have had to be made at 11:00pm their time. This is not acceptable. I did not answer, as I don't answer from numbers I am not familiar with. May 1, 2016, 8:45 pm I have been getting calls from this number for several months now. They call nearly every day and 2-3 times a day! This is maddening! I am 72 years old and can't walk that well. Why? Why? Why? Are these organizations allowed to drive you nuts on your OWN phone that you pay for and pay a bill on??? THEY are "invading my privacy." I can't take this! I'll be needing anti-anxiety medicine!! They aren't the only invaders of privacy who call, either. No one ever leaves a message. This is very stressful.
