They will ask for your credit card number to give you better rates, but this is a load of crap as the credit card companies always have your info on their computers. Why would they need you to confirm it. They could just ask you if you want it and then hang up. You will get scammed if you fall for this con. December 29, 2014, 4:51 pm This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by failing to have an operator on the line when the phone is answered, playing a recorded message without an operator on the line, and, when you do get an operator, refusing to provide an address or phone number when asked. Their recording congratulates the listener on making regular payments and states that they have "won" discounted rates and lower payments because of this. It also falsely claims that this is the last call the victim will receive. This is clearly a scam, as the operator doesn't even have basic information on the victim when you do get to an operator.
