January 21, 2015, 3:58 am A payday loan con artist that says I owe over $1000 in loans from a old payday loan from 2009. I have never in my life gotten any paper work from these people and they refuse to send it to me which is usually the first sign that the claims are total BS. February 1, 2015, 5:47 pm I got a phone call where the person was making legal threats to send me papers and have me served for civil litigation and possibly have me criminally charged for check fraud if I didn't immediately send him payment for an old payday loan that I have no records of. I am not financially secure so I haven't gotten a payday loan in a very long time and all those loans as far I know are paid off. I will have to call this number a scam, sorry. February 12, 2015, 5:42 pm I don't answer unknown phone numbers. I keep a log of them. Interestingly, I have had calls from 3 very similar numbers. Either listed as "asterisk", NY, NY, or Lombard, IL. Here they are: 214-838-9953; 630-489-9953; 917-268-9953. All have used the asterisk at one time or another. February 13, 2015, 7:36 am No payday loan calls for me, but I did get a very suspicious government grant offer for $7000 if I send them a processing fee to collect the grant. Thankfully I did some research on the internet first and see now that this is a big hoax with criminals making lots of money off innocent people. The government apparently has also issued statements from the grant department saying that they don't go around making calls like this and you should report the numbers to authorities if you can. August 25, 2015, 6:54 pm Some scammer who says I owe him over $1000 in old payday loans and will charge me with cheque fraud if I don't pay them immediately. They refuse to send me any documentation at all which should be evidence that this is a scam because over $1000 in debts is a lot compared to one letter sent my registered mail with documentation and envelope. November 14, 2015, 6:22 pm Payday loan scammers who don't care about anything except scaring you with lies about mandatory payments required of you. They will not prove the debts and make legal threats. Any debt collector like this is either a scammer or a junk debt collector which knows they are impotent to legally make you pay.
