July 7, 2014, 6:21 am CSS. A debt collection call, but when I asked what the debt was for I was put on hold, made to wait a very long time, and then hung up on. So I guess it's not too serious if they can afford to hang up on people. I have no credit card debt or unpaid medical bills so I have no clue as to what this debt they say I owe is. I've sold cars a while back and he used almost the same phrases. Anyway, because I felt like wasting his time, I asked if he could hold on a minute while I grabbed my checkbook, and then I put the phone down and went and grabbed lunch. February 14, 2015, 12:35 pm Said they are from CCS which is a debt collector and calling on behalf of Geico Insurance to collect money on unpaid insurance payments. April 7, 2015, 3:59 pm Said I owed Geico from 4 1/2 years ago, told them to send me original contract to show I owed. They said they didn't have it so I'm going to ignore this. People should be aware that debt collection attempts are often quite impotent to do anything accept expect you to be honest, unless they have records and the debt is big enough to warrant their efforts to pursue you. When I signed up with Geico many years ago they assured me that they would not cancel my policy without my knowledge like my previous ins company did. For years I had automatic withdrawal with no problems then I noticed they were no longer taking payments from my bank account and I was driving around without insurance for three months so naturally I signed on to another insurance company. September 15, 2015, 4:19 pm Keep getting calls from this number asking to speak to another person in the household. When i explain to them that this person is at work but i can take a name and number and have them call back, they quickly say no message and hang up. Never leaving a number made me very supcious so this time i hit *69 (no i do not have caller id on landline) and then looked up this number and found this website. I see some saying it is a collection agency for insurance. It's possible since we had Allstate several months ago before canceling and going to another i suppose maybe they want money for us doing that. So these people can legally call you all they want to address the debts if you actually owe them money. They are called CCS. Definitely, a confirmed debt collection agency. They said that I owed money to a company called Liberty Mutual Insurance, but this can't be true as I have never heard of this company before. Something is wrong. October 15, 2015, 7:58 pm received calls multiple time, i answer them for leisure and fun once in a while. i swear they once called me to say they are from microsoft and my computer had security leaks. but i may be mistaken. but the last call i got was for a claim from All state for an incident with my 2006 toyota back in march against a parked vehicle. firstly, i would know if i was involved in an accident. Secondly, I do not have All State, but let's assume it is the insurance of the other party. But thirdly and most convincingly, i do not own a toyota. but it's been fun. will definitely answer them again next time. Caller Type: Debt Collector

February 12, 2016, 2:11 am My mother received a call about an unpaid bill for my father. She informed them that he passed away 2 years ago. They said that he owed some money to Progressive. I picked up the second phone and listened as she told them that all of his debt was taken care of in 2014. I told her to inform them not to call here again. I know its a scam. Like others here, we recently cancelled auto insurance policy and got coverage with another company, but old company just sent us a check for balance owed us, so we don't have any debt to collect. April 29, 2016, 1:54 pm Refused to tell me what agency they were with...in the age of technology, you'd think the caller ID would show a business name or they would be willing to state their business name. I never got far enough because they wanted me to give out personal identification information without telling me who they are. There are warnings not to give out info to people you don't don't because of identity fraud, yet this is considered acceptable business practice? Caller Company: No caller name!!

And they asked me for person in the household and they weren't here so I asked him if I could take a message and his response was ma'am I can't do that it's a private message. I then said well they are on a trip, well that continued for at least 2 minutes. I then got tired of it and I said you can either tell me one of two things your company name or a message I can take to give to the person in the household or I will report this number. Then he started freaking out and a man in the background told him to calm down. Then the man I was talking to said okay ma'am do whatever the f*** you want to.
