December 22, 2016, 4:44 pm Just had a call claiming my computer was send continuous error reports. I knew it was a fraudulent call but decided to play along. January 4, 2017, 4:39 pm Told me my machine was sending error reports. He gave me a number 888DCA60 and told me how to look it up. Then he wanted me to run Event Viewer and showed me errors that my computer was generating. He said my internet and computer boot time would be slow. I told him it boots in 27 seconds. Then he got me to enter iexplore in the Run box and a shortcut to download a program called: Show My PC which is remote access software. January 6, 2017, 2:03 pm Caller wanted me to take steps on my computer to determine what has resulted in the errors they received from me. I never touched my computer, only claimed I was staring at a blank screen for almost 10 minutes before I told him I was not stupid enough to let him gain access to my computer. I let him talk, and finally told him that I would call my service provider and then he changed his story. I told the dummy I wasn't going to power the pc up and he asked why, I told him, I intentionally set my pc to send him warnings and that I was glad he finally called, I said, I wanted to ensure I did it right and him calling was conformation, He hung up and tried to call later to speak with someone else. January 10, 2017, 6:53 pm Called claiming I had a computer error. I told him it WAS running slow. I told him to wait while I booted it up, that it wad in another room. Set the phone down and kept watching tv. After a few minutes, asked, " you still there, it's still booting?". Set the phone down again. Waited a few more. January 13, 2017, 1:58 pm Answered a call from 616-502-8489. This is the second in 2 days. Woman with thick accent warned that a visit to a website had given my computer a virus. I went along with the scam until I could retrieve my referee whistle from the drawer and gave her a very loud and long piercing scream of a whistle to end the call. I hope she is deaf in both ears. I hung up and entered his number in my fax machine, it is set to dial 5 times if fax doesn't go through. I hope he likes fax machine squeals. February 1, 2017, 1:26 pm HaHa, told me that his company issued the licence to operate my windows PC and that my PC was sending error messages to them that needed to be fixed. I kept him on the phone for over 13 minutes while he thought I was waiting for my PC to start up.(I just vacuumed the living room) Then I told him he was a loser and hung up on him.
