February 9, 2015, 6:01 am I was called by "CMV Collection" about an old unpaid Telus mobile bill. I used Telus about 5 years ago so this is a quite old debt and I'm sure I don't owe it. I did a credit check and all seems clear so this must be some really desperate old junk debt collection attempt. Bought the debt claim for pennies. March 4, 2015, 9:37 am The caller is actually named "CBV Collections" not CMV. I got a story about an old Telus bill as well. I know 100% that I paid off all my bills. No debt at all. The second time they called I told them that this was a business line (not work) and that calling business lines for debt is illegal. They hung up. March 27, 2015, 2:14 pm A junk debt collection agency called CBV. I got a letter from them once about an unpaid Fedex cross broder charge that I refused to pay. All they did was send me a letter which I threw in the garbage and ignored. I've ripped off FedEX at least 5 times with their cross border charge and they always send me a letter which I throw in the garbage and ignore. It's a giant racket so I refuse since I already paid international shipping. These people always go away. Bills for like $15 are not worth their time as paying some one to persue it costs more than the debt is worth. That's the trick with debt collections. April 12, 2016, 10:51 pm strange, this company (lots of different numbers, same company) calls me as well but says it's BDC Collections. Tried to tell me I owed a bill of almost 7 years ago, that I don't, said they'd work with me to pay just the initial "debt" and forget the interest!! lol I laughed at them and said take me to court, I don't owe a bill anywhere. It shows on my credit , they keep calling. I keep blocking but t is harassment & a scam, and in talking with a friend who is a detective they can be charged. Guess that's what I'm about to do. October 4, 2016, 2:06 pm Scam. I owe not one thing and never have been in debt. I just blocked a 778 number that would call 2x a day, as well as two others, and the next day this 604 number keeps calling. If you have a bell phone, you can block the number so your phone does not even ring; the caller just gets voicemail. Real debt collectors leave voicemail messages. These scammers never do. They're called CBV collections and they're using dozens of numbers from the BC area. Call at all hours, several times a week and are relentless. December 15, 2016, 6:06 am They have called me continually saying i owe $750 for a FIDO account from 2014. I have never had a FIDO or Rogers account! As soon as i ask for proper information to be mailed to me they say they are not allowed to send emails. I set them straight and told them there is no chance i owe that money and they suggested i go to the local police station and report stolen identity fraud! Very annoying and very suspicious! December 15, 2016, 12:59 pm East Indian man called. Verified my name which I shouldn't have done because he then handed the phone to another East Indian man who also verified my name. Both said they were from CBV collections. I said I don't owe anyone anything and hung up. I wish I hadn't verified my name with my phone number because now I don't know how they'll use this. December 22, 2016, 6:39 pm I received a call early this morning from these lowlife jerks. They are lying, bottom feeding scammers, that attack any one with a phone number. They do not care if you owe a debt or not. They harass anyone who has the current number of the person they are looking for. They have no legal right to collect from anyone. And are currently committing fraud, with they're attempts to embezzle money from the community. I am going to pay them a visit, the next time I am in B. C. I don't really want to waste my time, but I will take a break from Whistler, and pay a visit to the company who is responsible for hiring illegal aliens, with no documented proof to work in Canada, or the U.S. Please treat the person with respect, that will be serving you a summons, just in time for Christmas.
