November 27, 2014, 2:44 pm Scheme to take advatnage of senior citizens with medical health devices for alert others when you call. Remember the old commercials that had "help I can't get up?" That's the product here. They offer grocery coupons to make older people eager to hand over the credit card for the shipping. I've never heard of anyone ever getting one of these devices for real. December 9, 2014, 4:28 am Free medical device or bracelet with offers for thousands of dollars in grocery coupons. Just a gimmick to take advantage of elderly folks. They offer free shipping to lure you to give them your credit card. Caller Company: Medical Device Caller Type: Telemarketer

December 20, 2014, 6:20 pm Caller ID said "Senior Assistance" and the call was about free medical devices with coupons as others have already stated. I'm not sure if this is a scam or not. I would suggest that it isn't. Just misleading. I wonder if the device is actually made so cheap that the free shipping is a lie and you actually pay for the device. Perhaps they use a really cheap envelope to ship and pocket a few bucks for each order. Millions of calls and you're probably rolling in greenbacks. June 3, 2015, 9:05 pm This is a legal caller, but the sales technique is very misleading and scummy in my view. They want to sell elderly people medical alert bracelets and often they will offer these bracelets free and say that they are already paid for and that shipping is waiting for them to just agree with the shipping. They also use grocery coupons to lure elderly people to buying knowing they are often on fixed budgets. Caller Company: Senior Assistance Caller Type: Telemarketer

August 12, 2015, 7:47 am Sales calls for medical alert bracelets for elderly people. The "I"ve fallen and I can't get up" system. The grocery coupons that they offer are up to $3000 they say. Obviously just trying to make it sound too good to resist. Lots of older people are easy to use in this manner so I think this type of caller should be regulated. These devices are monthly recurring billing so that's why they would offer them so cheap or for free. Caller Company: Medical Alert Caller Type: Telemarketer

September 27, 2015, 2:56 pm Scammers or at least very very dishonest sales tactics to old people. The sales call is for medical alert bracelets and they offer thousands of dollars in grocery coupons if you buy the device. They want to trick old people into the monthly bill which is how they make their money. Don't get trapped in this recurring bill ploy. Caller Company: Medical Alert Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher |
