March 14, 2015, 2:41 pm I got a strange call from a man claiming to be from "Credit One" and who was asking for my social security number. I told him I don't even have an account with Credit One and he still demanded my ssn#. I hung up on the guy and then called them back and a woman told me the call was not from that number. April 6, 2015, 6:18 pm The calls are from Credit One Bank. I had to file an official complaint with the BBB in order to get action from Credit One to remove my number. They sent me a letter saying that I had no account with them (which is true and not news) and then promised to remove my number. January 22, 2016, 8:40 pm I often get multiple calls a day from this answer. I don't answer calls from unknown numbers. If I let it go to the answering machine, they hang up. When I answered one time a man asked for my son (not home) and an alternate. I declined to provide the information. When queried about the reason for the call, he said business. I hung up.
