September 19, 2014, 8:50 am We do not speak Spanish and are on no call lists. This company (Home Health Care/House Calls)makes robo calls to us, in Spanish, frequently. Wish we could send a signal thru the phone to blow theirs up. The company is run by Care Improvement Plus. At minumum the calls come annually and I have no involvement with this company. March 13, 2015, 5:50 pm This is "House Calls" run by Care Improvement Plus which are offering a free medical examination service by a doctor to your home as part of the insurance or healthcawre package you have provided. They will send a phsyician to your home offer you advice to improve health or decrease your long term costs. May be annoying to people who have their own doctor. April 7, 2015, 9:24 am Been receiving repeated calls from them They will only id themselves as AARP Healthcare, not who they are (personally or as House Calls). My understanding of this service is they want to send someone, usually a NP, to go over your health & meds. It seems they usually make you a high risk person so Medicare will reimburse the Advantage plan at a higher rate. I assume if this place isn't fully owned by the insurance plan then they get a 'kickback' from them for helping them get more $$$ (read profit) from our tax dollars. October 7, 2015, 4:26 pm The House Calls that they offer are not "free" though you will not be billed. If you let them they will send a nurse to your home and interview you. This is not necessary if you get regular medical care. Then they bill Medicare for the house call running up the cost of care for everybody. It is a scam! Caller Company: United Health Care |
