October 3, 2014, 3:00 am The caller id says "Local Office." The caller is known to be "First National Collection Burea" The woman on the line asked to speak to someone who doesn't live at this address anymore. From my research this company is often making call to collect expired debts. That means the stature of limitations has ended on the debt and you don't legally owe it anymore. A lot of these companies exist as it's quite profittable to scare people into paying debts. You know it's not legit if all the collection requests are done over the phone as they need to send you something in writing that is clear about why you owe the money with other info such as contact information. February 7, 2015, 11:57 am I think this is one of those junk or expired debt collectors they pay pennies on the dollar for other people's junk debt. They make a lot of money if they get only 1% of people paying them back. They called about debt so old that it was laughable. March 14, 2015, 6:07 am A junk debt collector or person trying to defraud me. I'll let you make up your mind on the issue. They wanted me to pay back debt on a credit card from 11 years ago which was paid back and closed. This issue has to be solved and in the worst case would have passed the statute of limitations for debt.
