September 17, 2015, 2:31 pm I got a strange call from a "Canadian Lifestyle Centre" wishing to do a survey and they wanted to ask questions about my age and if I was currently a homeowner. January 23, 2016, 8:45 pm I got the call from "Canadian Lifestyle Centre" tonight. The 'survey' started. Age? Employed? Homeowner? Mortgage? Am I aware of Critical Illness Insurance? At this point it sounded like they were qualifying a sales lead. So I said that. No it's a survey. For who? Banks & Insurance companies. So I asked for a supervisor. A man got on. I started quizzing him because I doubted this 'survey'. What's your phone number? We're not authorized to give that out. He stayed on the phone as I gave him pretty pointed questions. Who's getting this sales lead? He wouldn't say. Do you think what you are doing is right? We've been doing this for 15 years. After several awkward minutes, he ended up hanging up. Cross reference this number (416-852-4568) with the one that I got, from Tisdale, Saskatchewan: (306-852-4567). Same people, same scam, wanting the same information. I would love to have a five minute sit down in a dark alley lol they won't ever call anyone again. Yes sometimes anger and violence has a place especially when dealing with people like them . When I asked again where he was from, he got agitated and said I represent Century 21, Sutton Group, Re/Max, Since I am a real estate agent ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST I know obviously He can't represent all of these brokerages. They said something like "What is it about this that you are not interested?" To which I responded: "Well if you're going on like that, I'm definitely not interested," and I hung up. I asked who was calling and was advised they were a "focus group". I immediately interrupted and said I wasn't interested. His response "get lost, you bitch" and he hung up. November 8, 2016, 3:24 pm I've received phone calls almost every day for the last month from a Focus Group about Real estate. The first 3 times I politely said no im not interested and hung up. The next time I firmly told them to quit calling me. He asked if I was threatening him, not anymore then he was harassing me. Now, I answer the phone and play Lily Allen's - "F--k You" song. December 23, 2016, 12:29 pm Had many calls from this number over several years. Telemarketers that are pushing various identity scams. Everything from the old "duct cleaning" to realestate scams and surveys has used this #. I finally named it on my caller id as Scammer. and do not answer. they don't stop calling no matter what you do. I have picked up a few times to find out what they are currently pushing and then I hang up. Do not even say yes or no to any questions. Every word you say can be useful to them.
