December 30, 2014, 1:51 pm It turns out that nearly HUNDREDS of people have been bothered by this caller. I've learned that the number, 402-998-5021, is carried by Bandwidth.com. To report the number as suspicious, you have to go to www.bandwidth.com, go to the bottom of the page to the tab reading "Acceptable Use Policy" and fill out a complaint form. March 20, 2015, 4:03 pm Automated voice says; " I'M SORRY i MUST HAVE THE WRONG NUMBER AND THEN HANGS UP ABRUPTLY" I expect this is a computer automated system which calls random numbers until a live voice answers. At that point your (my) number is recorded for sale/distribution to telemarketers and scammers. When I googled this number I found that many others had the same complaint going back almost a year. June 20, 2015, 6:21 pm I rec'd. same call...then checked with special tracking program. Sure enough...call was routed through Nebraska ...but originated at the NSA building.....

October 7, 2015, 11:40 am I don't recommend anyone pick up the phone for this number. I have done research on the number and the company behind it claims to be one of the biggest telemarketing database companies in America. This is very odd for someone to do on a massive scale. Why is everyone getting this? January 26, 2016, 8:14 pm Called my house phone on 1/25/16 and again on 1/26/16 both times around 8:00 PM. Did not answer because it came up "Unknown Name" on the caller ID. I also got rid of my answering machine last year because of callers like this. Since then I receive only a very limit number of phone calls like this. April 26, 2016, 11:38 am I have to answer every call that comes into the office, even though I know better for most calls because of caller ID. I tend to wait before I speak as a lot of the robo calls are voice activated. We have several projects under one roof so I got the same call a few times. just comes in as 402-998-5021 business in Canada. Looks like they are testing the phone numbers for telemarketing.
