If you want to deal with your real card services that I recommend using the number on the back of your credit card to make a direct connection to the real card services. They will probably tell you that this call was a fraud attempt and that no reduced rate special are currently on for you or anyone else. December 16, 2014, 6:09 am Dirty phishers truying to swipe your personal data with lies about lower credit card interest rates of 6% to 1% depending on the call. They are thieves that the FTC is reguarly trying their hardest stop. Difficult though. The website "nomorobo" was invented to try to stop this type of caller so I would look into that if you are US based and want an option to cut this off. January 8, 2015, 9:39 am A person name "Carmen" from Card services called me from this number. Caller ID said "Consumer Svcs" and from my research the number is a clear scam that is trying to phish your credit card number. The ploy is to lure you into with "too god" offer of reduced credit card rates so you'll choose to enter your number with the touchtone pad into the phone and allow their computers to skim the number for illegal use later on. January 30, 2015, 1:05 pm This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by failing to have an operator on the line when the call is answered, and further violate the TCPA by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line to pause or stop the recording. Once you do get to an operator, they further violate the TCPA and prove they are a scam by refusing to provide a phone number or physical address when asked. The recording states that you are eligible to lower your credit card interest rates to 1%, however the operator has no information about you or your credit cards and needs this from you to check your eligibility.
