Basically, as mentioned in earlier posts they handle store financing and credit. This call is most likely for debt collection purposes on overdue bills. Pay up cheapo!! February 24, 2015, 11:38 pm Caller is "GE Bank" or at least used to be. I think GE turned into Synchrony. Late payments on store cards for JC Penny. I am fully aware of myself being behind so the calls are legit, although annoying. Waiting on a paycheck before I make the last payment to clear this off. They were calling to ask for personal information on a family member who doesn't live at this address at the current time and wanted the information for verification purposes while also informing me about the debt (the amount they didn't say). July 16, 2015, 9:55 am Store credit card management company. If you miss late payments or default on your card then they will be calling you regularly. I missed a payment on my card due to an error and this has now been fixed. They still call though as their systems don't update that fast.. Handles store cards like Macy's and such and so problems with payments will result in them hounding you to pay up. Called me twice this week and I was behind so I fixed that now. In my case they were calling for a brother who does actually live with me to remind him of being late on his payments. They also needed to verify information from him. All will be settled soon. September 22, 2015, 3:12 pm Can't speak for others but this company has been calling 5 to 8 times a day and never leaves a message. I never carry a credit card balance and have excellent credit. Cannot believe this is legal to harass people with these calls. I have number blocked and have reported them as a violation to the Do Not Call Registry. January 9, 2017, 11:15 am received a call from this number-someone with an Indian-sounding accent-saying they were Synchrony and calling about Sam's Club. I said I never had an account with Synchrony Bank and have never been to Sam's Club. Asked a few times for my date of birth. I said why on earth would I give you that? Assumed it was a scammer.
