May 1, 2016, 6:32 pm Several 3rd party companies in the USA are illegally using their Robocall machines and services to call & connect to people with specific USA telephone numbers that answer with a voice. I talked to a family relative who is an Attorney for the Federal Trade Commission about this specific robocall problem with robocall repeated call attempts and there are no easy answers or solutions for consumers. The robocall company immediately forwards the connected call to a client company (often overseas) where a salesperson picks up & gives their illegal or scam sales pitch. If this telephone# is blocked by the recipient, the robocall company switches to another one of many other telephone number they have acquired to bypass the block. 323-741-3873 apparently belongs to an unknown US contractor company that rents its robocall dialer services to overseas companies that often break US laws by illegally trying to sell products, services, and/or scams through telephone calls. The US-based robocall company often claims: 1.) they only dial specific telephone numbers provided by the overseas client company, 2.) they do not know why the client company wanted to dial that specific phone# or what is discussed when connected (no robocall criminal intent), and 3.) the client-provided phone# list does not have to checked or filtered through the Federal "Do Not Call" registry because the robocall company does not know the original purpose or intent of the client telephone call. The robocall company claims they comply with all US Federal laws and only forward the robocall to their "client" scam company. The problem is the scammer company is overseas in a different country and robocalls that violate US laws are very hard to prove and harder to stop. Caller Company: Unknown Caller Type: Telemarketer

May 13, 2016, 12:26 pm A woman who could barely speak English stated she was "calling from the Federal Government in Washington, DC, ok?" (The "OK?" was used at the end of every one of her sentences.) She was telling me that I was selected to receive a federal grant for $7000 (ok?) and when she asked if I was interested in finding out why I was selected, I told her I was suspicious of the phone call and not interested. May 16, 2016, 5:37 pm They called from that number and an Indian accent man said he was from the United States Government blank blank department and wanted to verify some info. (I say blank blank because I couldn't understand him.) I asked him several times "what department?" and he kept mumbling something and so I asked him a third time of which he stopped for ten seconds and then said " Your Fucking Department" and hung up. June 22, 2016, 5:23 pm I have been getting calls from this company for months now. They sound like they are from over seas and keep asking for someone named Karla. I have told them there is no Karla here and they have the wrong number and to stop calling. They get very offended and defensive and yell at me. One of them tried asking me for my name and I told them no. I said I was going to report them and their phone number and he then said "I love you." I was so creeped out by the whole experience that I immediately hung up. They have called since the. It is very annoying and I really am considering changing my number. When I asked him what operating system my computer was, he gave me the wrong answer but I didn't let on. I was reading all the posts. Ya, the people on the other end do get vulgar but it's fun just to play them on the phone ... give them all kinds of phony info just to piss them off. I do that when I get the calls on my landline.

They wanted to "walk me through" cleaning the program.... Pshh, what an amateur move. She said that there was numerous complaints that my account was sending out emails that where infected with virus. I do not send out anything from this account. Then she said that if I use that email to buy things that I needed to stop. Asked to talk to her supervisor and was not even put on hold. It was like she just handed the phone to him.
