June 28, 2014, 12:16 pm This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. In addition, they play a recorded message without an operator on the line further violating the TCPA. They seem to use an automated dialer and do not have an operator on the phone when the call is answered, yet further violating the TCPA. When you do get to an operator, the operator refuses to provide their name, company name, physical address or phone number and instead hangs up on you - still further violating the TCPA. Their recording states that this is your second (this scammer has called way more than twice) and final (this scammer will definitely call again until they are stopped) offer to lower your credit card rates. This is clearly a scam. Between the violations of the TCPA and the content of the recorded message, it is clear that this is just an organization trying to commit identity theft and fraud. Do not provide this scammer with any personal or financial information. Caller Company: cardservices scam Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher

January 9, 2015, 5:08 pm Offering reduced credit card rates. It's an automated call. I've heard all about this scam enough to know what it is. They want you to type in your credit card number to skim it with their computers under the giant lie of being your credit card company. Caller Company: Card Services Lie Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher

January 21, 2015, 6:56 am Your credit card company already knows everything about you. They do not need to have you verify yourself to get reduced rates. If they were offering reduced rates it must benefit them in some way and they would simply just offer it to you with the pressing of a few buttons on their end to give it to you. Just skimming your data for identity theft. Caller Company: Not Real Card Services Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher

February 13, 2015, 10:33 am Don't be a fool. Just hang up if these people call you. If you want to verify the identity of this caller than call the number on the back of your card to speak to a 100% verified agent with your card company. Card companies usually send you letters or make their offers while you are already speaking to the agent because you called them, not random calls. Big scam and you are risking identity theft if you fall for this offer. Caller Company: Reduced Rates Lure Fraud Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher |
