January 30, 2015, 10:09 pm Strange security system offer on my voicemail. I've actually gotten more than one. No interest in the product as I already have a security system and certainly wouldn't give up my more reputable company for some small timer that leaves weird voicemails for me. No company name could be deciphered from the horrible garbled messages that are left for me. Hopefully someone else will have better luck than me. February 23, 2015, 1:36 am Sales call for a security systems. The message left for me said I was qualified to have the system installed. I don't know how they determine who is qualified or not. No idea who the company is as I can't hear any mention of the company name (might be garbled or cut off). I have no need for a security system and can't know for certain if this is a legit company. March 17, 2015, 1:32 pm Harassing security business. Offering $1500 security system deals or a "free $1500 security system upgrade" in equipment. I'm assuming the deal is to get you to install the system thinking it' sa great deal before getting your $30+ a month bill every month. April 10, 2015, 7:23 pm I laugh reading comments "I'M ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST"... Please note, these ARE NOT telemarketers. These are crooks looking for weak-minded people to fall for a scam. The call typically states something like "We would like to give you a free home security system if you will put a small sign in your yard about our product." And when weak-minded people fall for this, the fraudster then says something like, "This is a $1,200 system, easy to install yourself and we will send it tomorrow, but you have to pay the shipping charge of $20. The system will be sent by Federal Express and we will include our yard sign." What these criminals are doing is getting people to "pay" for the small shipping charge and the criminal actually ask the "weak-minded" and gullible person on the other end, "Provide us a credit card number we can use for the $20 FedEx charge" and soon, a fool and his money are soon parted by modern-day IDENTITY THEFT. Long story made short, if you receive a call from an area code you are not familiar with, don't answer it. 95% of the time, it is a criminal. They might leave a message offering you a "once in a lifetime deal" but often these are robo dialers and are using Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) to make a fake number, and the call probably originates out of China, Russia or another country. December 14, 2015, 8:33 pm Just got the same message as everyone else. If you listen all the way through it gives an option to hit 2 if you don't want to receive calls anymore. Hit 2 and it says that option not available. Scammer alert!! I assumed they somehow obtained info to your house so they would know where to break in and when. Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher

December 16, 2015, 12:30 pm I got a call from 317-237-8147 on my cell. Since I live in the same area code, I was inclined to answer it, but then changed my mind and rejected the call. I called it back later to see who was calling, and it said that the number had been disconnected or is longer in service. I then went to Google to see if the number is a landline or cell phone and I ran across these comments. Glad I didn't answer and glad that my vm was full so they couldn't leave a recorded msg. January 4, 2016, 12:18 pm Just got a phone call from this number! I answered because we share the same area code, but I didn't hear anything on the other end and we were connected for about 15 seconds. Tried to return the call after reading the number is disconnected just to see if that was a true statement, and it was, in fact disconnected. Glad I found these comments. January 18, 2016, 2:46 pm Just got a call from this number, No voicemail. VERY rarely do I answer calls from numbers that I don't recognize (especially different area codes). My general rule of thumb is that 1) I don't answer a call while I am at work, and 2) if the call is important enough, the caller will leave a voicemail. If they don't leave a voicemail, I don't call the number back. I have an Indianapolis area code, so I had a thought to answer it, but after reading these comments, I'm glad I didn't.
