They pretend to be from California from Microsoft, but they are really just a criminal call center in India with probably thousands of poorly paid India criminals trying to trick you into believing you need to boy a tech support service contract with them after they pretend to fix your computer. April 28, 2015, 9:41 pm Don't fooled by this con. They pretend you have a virus on your computer and they are just calling to help you. They will try to use the excuse that common windows errors in the admin panel are evidence that you need their assistance. There is no problem with your computer. They will try to sell fake support memberships for over $300 and then also sell you software which is free on the internet. May 10, 2015, 11:30 am Fake windows support. Thick Indian accents. They will get angry if you question anything about them. If they say they have you ip then ask them for it. If they say they know about your computer than ask them which one in your house in infected and what version of windows you have. Anything to catch them lying so you see it for yourself. The real point of these calls is not to hack you, but to trick you with misleading help so that you will build trust from them and buy their extended tech support subscriptions and software (available for free elsewhere). October 16, 2015, 11:56 am Some fake Indian sounding loser told me a lie about being from Microsoft and that I had a virus on my computer. Wants immediate remote access to fix the problem. I faked cooperating and then at the end told them that I couldn't do it anymore. They switch the phone to higher level scumbags trying to figure out why you aren't screwing yourself. October 19, 2015, 5:20 pm They have called 3 times today and I believe a couple other times another day never answering until today...First 2 I did not answer today since I had no familiar number in my phone like that. 3rd time I answered and heard them say they were a Microsoft something or other and I told them they've called me 3 times today and to put me on the no call list. He said he is trying to diagnose a problem in my MS Windows since my computer is sending messages to them that there is something wrong and they need more details to fix this problem. I told him get lost and I will report him to authorities. He was argumentative and I finally hung up on him. To whom should I really report this Spam call?
