If it was a survey call then it's a good idea that they hung up, because I had a horrible experience with them and would probably give 1 and 0's throughout the whole survey. Since it's from Bank Of America I can only assume it's some kind of customer satisfaction survey for a recent experience at the bank. I am a BOA customer so the call is not unwarranted. The survey was too long and repetitive for me to complete so I had to politely end the call. The person on the line was polite enough and accepted it. Legit call, but annoying. October 25, 2015, 1:30 pm 2 calls so far from this number, answer machine answered, they left no message, caller ID says it is Bank of America. IF you call that number after hours, it will say they are some marketing firm conducting a survey (for BofA?) and how it is allowed under the national do not call laws because they are not trying to sell anything (the message is very self-righteous). BS. A "customer satisfaction" survey IS a telemarketing call -- they are trying to sell you the bank's services by asking you questions. They probably called because I pulled all of my $$ (a large amount) out of Stank of Amerika recently and want to know why. Answer: they suck -- Long hold times if you call their "customer service" phone numbers (longer by FAR than 2 other banks I have), no local numbers to call to find out if they bank is open or some particular person is on duty today, no 24 hour phone service, low quality staff (meaning cheap), effort to replace live tellers w/ TV tellers on ATM machines, too few tellers when they do have live tellers, phone solicitation of "customer satisfaction" surveys, piss poor savings interest rates, closing earlier than everyone else on Saturday, etc. It's just a crappy bank. As much as I dislike Chase, their service is better. Wells Fargo is far better. The only other bank I know of so far that I'd say sucks is Shittibank (Citibank), who charged me a $9 "service fee" on my savings account because I only had $100 in it, then refused to give it back claiming it was a legitimate fee. U.S. Bank isn't very good either because they want to force you to do everything on-line (and I think they wanted to charge for cashier's checks), but I never had an account w/ them. October 30, 2015, 7:30 pm I got a call from this number, but the caller ID said: 7860500:3142261 where there should have been a business, or unknown or something. But instead is was just a bunch of random numbers. I also am on the National Do Not Call Registry, but that does no good as the calls just keep coming and they keep changing numbers even so far as to hack into a phone number to use a local persons phone # as their caller ID. I am a current customer at Bank of America and have recently dealt with the bank. January 2, 2016, 12:43 pm Today is Saturday Jan 2, 2016. At 11:37 AM EST a call came in from (314) 226-1459. No caller ID appeared - only a telephone number. They did not leave a message. They also called last week - no caller ID and left no message. Annoying and intrusive. A business is required to include an identifier (whatever the reason for the call) but this one does not. Wonder why? I called the number back; a woman's voice states "Merritt's Customer Experience", and further states that they operate with the highest code of ethics, that they do market research, that they do not make sales calls, and that they are "allowed" under "national" and "state" laws to make these calls "because we are not a telemarketing firm". Also, that if you want to be included on their "do not call" list you can leave your information with their automated service at 1-800-864-8601. I called the number and asked the system to be placed on the "do not call" list; the "system" then stated it will take up to three days. January 6, 2017, 12:07 pm We have receiving calls from this number at all time of the day which is annoying, to say the least. People say on this site that the number is from bank of america, and all I can say is be careful giving out information, because I called boa customer service, and the representative assured me that this number is not valid and he feels that is a "spoofed"number,so I have a call blocker and now have it blocked.
