August 1, 2016, 4:04 pm This is a political survey call and they want to ask you about your views about the government and what actions to take. Caller id said "Surv Informed Elec." Will ask for donations which is weird for a survey caller. Caller Company: Surv Informed Elec Caller Type: Survey

September 14, 2016, 10:20 pm Caller said this was a one question survey. I answered the one question. Then the caller asked for a donation of $ 20 to help pay for the cost. All they needed was my credit card or bank account number. I politely declined stating that I NEVER give any personal info to callers. The caller got a bit pushy. I ended the call. Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher

March 27, 2017, 6:57 pm They said it was a one-question survey, and the question was "Did you vote in the last election?" So I think perhaps it was the "yes" scam. Caller Type: Survey

April 6, 2017, 1:20 pm "John from Informed Electorate" (he claimed to be) called, very very friendly. I answered the call because I expected a call from a relative. Ordinarily, I never answer calls I'm not expecting, and I block the number after they hang up. Unless they leave a voice message. 99% of the time, I delete it, then block them. The rest I check out. They are wasting their time, not mine, and not getting any money from me, ever. So "John from Informed Electorate" at 312-667-9781 asked me to answer ONE question: did I vote in the last election. I said YES. He then asked ANOTHER question: what is my first name. Second question, and why? Suspicious, I declined to answer. He then asked if he could call back, and I informed him I'd check them out. So I did. And I found a defunct political Web site, "Informed Electorate" ( http://votethewill.org/ ). If "John" is calling from there, he needs to revise the Clinton/Trump poll stuff. That election is over, thank God. But there's a different number on the Web site Contact page, isn't there, "John"? So either way, you're a fraudster, probably calling on an old Princess phone in mommy's basement. And your call #2 will never get past my Panasonic, with 150 blocked creeps like you so far, and 100 to go. Caller Company: Informed Electorate Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher |
