It had an option to press 9 to be removed from their list, but I suspect this is just to confirm that you're a real person. I really hate phone offers for things I don't need. They can't be trusted to be reliable and most of time people are smart enough to find companies better suited to their needs. Unneeded calls. A lot of robocalls are money hungry and use your confirmation for verification for selling your number to other companies as a way to make money with the crappy businesses. August 18, 2015, 2:10 pm This is a carpet cleaning company whom I have verbally told I do not want their business or calls. I have also selected option 9 to be removed and I still get calls. The calls now hang up but it is a pain. I have reported this number to the Do Not Call Registry as my number is on the list (a lot of good it is doing). Everyone who get this call should start calling the number back several times a day and leaving a long message. Read a book to them. Play music. Anything to keep the recording going. January 30, 2016, 12:05 pm I have complained to the human at Betty's who called me back. That did no good. I also filed a complaint with the FCC because I am on the no call list. That does less than nothing. I suggest as a final step -- respond to the call, set up an appointment for them to come out to your house and when they do, you have two choices: don't answer the door, or give the salesman a swift kick in the butt and tell him that's for pestering me on the phone. April 29, 2016, 2:18 pm I have received these robocalls several times a week for well over a year. Like everyone else, selecting #9 to be removed (which did absolutely nothing). And then left a message for someone to call me back. When they did, I told them to remove me from that list immediately and they just hung up on me. No response. Well, the calls started again this week after several months of silence. I left a message for them to call me back. And they did. Someone by the name of Jerry. The call went like this. Me: Hello? Jerry: Hi, my name is Jerry. Someone from this number left a message about carpet cleaning?. Me: Yes, I did. Jerry, what is the name of the company you work for? Jerry: You don't know the name !? Me: No, I don't. It didn't say anything other than Betty's carpet cleaning. And I can't find anything about that company online. Jerry: Who is the company that normally cleans your carpets? Me: That's not what I asked you Jerry. Jerry: Have a good day sir. And hangs ups.
