November 19, 2014, 3:18 am A really annoying debt collector calling to inform me that I was behind on my bills for the company he was representing. He refused to listen to me when I explained why I was completely up to date on my accounts and continued reading from his script ignoring me. March 31, 2015, 9:20 pm Some kind of debt collection mistake or a scam. The liar said I had an old account is US Bank that had debt that needed to be paid, but I've never had an account with US Bank at all. Possibly some kind of phishing scam where they want to trick you into getting angry about their accusations so you'll give them your real account info to try to validate yourself. I would be careful. They seemed nice enough and when I explained my story and that I would like to have my number removed they kindly agreed. No more calls yet. August 24, 2015, 9:27 pm Absolutely shady company! Called, (said calls recorded) asked how to get a hold of ..... (not me). I didn't know who this person was. Caller told me I was listed as Emergency contact for said person & something happened that he needed to be informed of & he'd want to know about it. They cannot get a hold of him.... Asked if they were sure my name & number were the correct info for the emergency contact. He gave my full name including middle name & repeated my number & once again stated this person listed me as the #1 emergency contact. Bothered me very much thinking some one that listed me as an emergency contact & I couldn't think of who the person even was. Hours later realized the said person who is sought had bought a house I sold years ago. I have had 3 telephone number changes since then. This company used me & misrepresented the information to get a hold of the buyer of my old house > 10 yrs ago. Shady.... Shame on you company & representative!!! Disgusted I spent hours of my night distraught thinking someone who thought I was trusted to be an emergency contact was in need only to find out this company is just a shady collector using my information from the sale of a home to find someone for collection. November 26, 2015, 2:24 am Unusual debt claim call from a company that claims to be from "US Bank" that I am not a customer at. They said I owed money for a debt I have no records for. I did at one time owe money for another bank, which was a loan, but that was paid off in full years ago. Unless this is some kind of screw up with records at some junk debt collection agency? June 21, 2016, 8:13 pm call came for a person who has NEVER lived here or had our number. Caller ID gave the 281-819-4037 number and she said her name was Sophie Jones from United Recovery. However the number she gave for us to 'pass on' was 866-582-4085. She gave no indication if it was for debt collection or if the person was owed money...but no one by that name lives here.
