December 29, 2014, 3:28 pm A scammer claiming to be from Microsoft and wanting to help you with your computer to fix a virus. They will take you into your admin panel to try to trick you that common windows errors are evidence that the virus claim is real (a fallacy) and will then try to solve the problem by getting access to your computer remotely. In the end they try to sell you software that is actually free or sell you support memberships for 9 years for hundreds of dollars. Caller Company: Microsoft Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher

They sell fake memberships for technical support after tricking you into thinking they helped you. The show you common windows errors on your computer in the admin panel and lie to you that they are signal that something is wrong. Not the case. February 20, 2015, 6:41 pm Computer tech specialists trying to fool you into thinking you have a virus so they can remotely come inside your computer and then sell you membership packages for techincal support and software which is actually free elsewhere. This is a longtime scheme to mislead consumers about problems they don't have when they don't have a good working knowledge of computers so they'll be scared into buying whatever the call tells you that you need. August 16, 2015, 7:01 pm I had a text2landline message claiming it was from 250.715.5521 and said 'fool me once, shame on you'. It was at 140am so it went to my voicemail. When I check the voicemails originating caller it tells me it's from 250.714.0921 as does the caller ID. I have this same number call about 12 times in the last 30 days and one day even got 3 calls 2 minutes apart starting at 1045pm. I am going to lose it on the next person that calls from that number. November 16, 2015, 11:21 pm Received 4 calls from 250-714-0921; caller said he from Dell and they were getting numerous messages on my PC (that they were monitoring he said) about hacking attempts. January 21, 2016, 6:41 pm Received a call from this number telling me he was my grandson and had been in a car accident and had broken his nose and needed help. When I asked where he was there was no response. I told him he didn't sound like my grandson. He said his name was Justin. I told him that wasn't my grandsons name. He hung up.
