February 4, 2016, 6:26 am Indian person calling about problems with my pc. Said he was from the windows department and they had warnings messages indicating a virus infection. He took to the control panel admin and said common windows errors are evidence of the problem. I had to laugh. Don't believe a word you hear. This is a lie. March 10, 2016, 3:08 pm I received the same phone call here. This started happening to me since I registered a domain. I just hang up and tell them to not call back. I asked him for the case number and he gave me some lie because it took too long for him to figure out what it was. Then he said his name is Frank Williams. I'm sorry, but no way. Registered a domain name with GoDaddy 2 days ago, gave them the fake google number I give whenever I sign up for anything, and started getting calls from this number. They then ask if you are in front of your computer. (They will then ask you to do things you shouldn't do, risking losing your identity or access to your computer.) Report them to the police. (I would want to be in the front row in that prayer line of thieves). I could think of punishment for these ass holes starting with sticking a flaming koran up their ass crack and try to put it out with at least 5 gallons of gasoline. November 8, 2016, 4:50 pm I got a call from these guys and was a little concerned when they started talking. They wanted information from me and I said you called me, I didn't call you so you should have my information there! He handed me to what he defined as his manager. He told me that they were here to help me and said my computer was infected and has been for months. At that point I knew it was a lie! I just got this computer a couple months ago. December 9, 2016, 7:45 pm Received a call from 305-998-0349 and same person also called me from 213-525-6871 stating that they were from "Windows" and that they wanted me to go to my computer because they received a report that there is a problem with my system. I asked several question as to who they worked for or whose behalf they worked. The gentleman skirted my questions and I terminated the call. He called again but a different number came up on my caller ID, I asked similar questions again and he would not commit to answering them truthfully. I believe that this is a scam in an attempt for the caller to remotely access my system and commit some type of fraudulent activity. Folks beware and ask for a number to call and don't do as the caller requests. I immediately shut down my system and on restart I ran my anti virus/ anti spyware program which is Mcafee Total Protection. The Mcafee report is all is secure. Caller Company: Windows?
