May 10, 2016, 2:07 pm Received a voice automated call from an Officer Daniel Weidman from the legal department of the IRS saying a criminal lawsuit had been filed against me case #CF93271 and to have my attorney or I call back immediately. The number was out of DC 202-800-9903 but the desk number for Weidman was 206-538-5495. When I tried to call it back it would not accept calls from a cell phone, it had to be a landline (home phone). May 13, 2016, 8:56 am I got called from this number as well. The caller told me not to speak or ask questions until he was finished. Refused to answer questions. Said I committed tax fraud and in 2 hours all my assets would be frozen and liens placed. He gave me some badge number and case number to reference, but refused to tell me a website. I asked why I never received any notice from the IRS. He said he sent it several times to the home he would be seizing in 2 hours. That is when I laughed. My home is a rental IRS would know that, IRS would serve me papers up close and personal not give a random phone call. ... My Case ID was CF93271 and if I did not pay $3576 to the IRS for taxes not paid, my house and possessions would be seized within 2 hours by the county sheriff and police officers. I told her I wanted to talk with her supervisor and to send me a formal letter but she told me that the call was being recorded and not to interrupt her. She kept threatening me. I told her that the IRS does not threaten and harass people and I had no pending taxes. I told her I thought it was a scam. Did audit, looks like we tried to rip them off etc. Said would go to jail, assets taken and so on.Knew they were fake but played along. Apparently this angered whoever because other times they would just hang up & not leave message.
