Needless to say that I have my taxes done by a certified tax perparer. Also know the IRS will contact you by snail mail not call you on the phone, unless you have called them first. Told me I was being sued by the IRS and if I or my attorney didn't return his call the moment I heard the message then all he could do is wish me well as the court case unfolded on me . He also gave me the case file number CF92371 . I spoke to John Williams, David Jackson and Paul Williams. when i realized it was a SCAM they got VIOLENT and used language that i have never heard. they told me to put my privates in my behind and cursed my for 4 minutes. they told me if i call back they would come find me and kill me. August 8, 2016, 7:22 pm I got the same bogus message with the same bogus case number. I called right nack, onto the scam but hoping to play along and cost him some valuable time, but nobody answered. I've been getting calls like this from random numbers in random states, but usually from an Indian voice in a boiler room. I feel bad for the naive few who get taken by this fraud. August 9, 2016, 1:24 pm Same as many callers listed above. I didn't answer, and there was a partial voicemail. A computer generated voice says I have a federal lawsuit against me from the IRS. Started to list a case number and my voicemail cut him off. I just had to laugh because I know that the IRS doesn't call with this type of message, they send you a certified snail mail. August 9, 2016, 4:49 pm ID'd herself as an agent for IRS. Has called multiple times now. She is calling my business line that is not attached to any tax returns. Loud background noise, could tell she was calling from a call center. Heavy Indian accent. The IRS sends you letters first before they assign an agent to your case. This is a scam number. I have no outstanding taxes due. An accountant does our taxes. I cussed her out this time because she likes to call at the crack of dawn. Lets see if she calls back... August 9, 2016, 6:08 pm Same here, funny thing I had been receiving calls from area code (202) city and state said unknown and they would leave a blank recording from 3 seconds to 9 seconds and I would simply blocked them. But today it said Washington DC and same number, same person (Daniel Wiseman) same case number as everyone else. So I block that number too. August 9, 2016, 7:55 pm I received a voicemail message from the same Daniel Wiseman, claiming to be from IRS and that a criminal lawsuit, Case number CS93271 was about to be filed against me if I or my attorney did not call back immediately. The call sounded like a recording or computer voice...very robot-like. I reported this to the IRS Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA). It is a very easy, simple process to report this. Go to www.tigta gov, click on the link "IRS Impersonation Scam Reporting" and follow all instructions. Takes about 5 minutes.
