September 21, 2013, 9:31 pm US Government Grant scams for $8000. They offer large fake grants to entice you to hand over your credit card data to collect with small service fees. This is a total scam that is already being investigated by the FTC. These people I believe are also behind the computer tech scams. September 25, 2013, 12:27 am I totally gave these ppl my acct n routing number but my acct is over drawn there isnt much the can take. Scam was for a government grant for $8000 and now I feel stupid. March 15, 2015, 3:07 pm I got a call about a $7500 grant that was availablr for me from the federal government. It was supposedly free and only required a small fee to collect the grant. After some research it appears that is a scam for which the federal government has made public statements available on their grant department website which lists this as a scam. They don't call people up randomly and offer grants. Grants usually require an application so they don't run around giving them away and asking for money to collect them. May 7, 2015, 2:59 pm I got a call that was a recorded message that said the irs was suing me and that I should call this number 202-684-6662 and I knew that the IRS doesnt call people they would send a notice by mail so googled the number and see from this that I was right and that it was a scam. |
