I added the extra security to my Google email accounts to keep my ex from accessing my emails, it is a 2-step verification. December 4, 2016, 8:02 pm I just received a call from 202-455-8888. I was hesitant to answer so I didn't. When I check the voice message that was left, it was an automated voice that just said "your code is 72****". I then searched the number and came to this site. This is obviously a scam. Some people said that it's a google verification and some said it's a person begging for money. If it is legit, there wouldn't be so many different senarios for the same number. They contact you from a 4154637507 number at weird hours about your craigslist ad you posted and then tell you that you have to answer the 2024558888 number and type in a two digit confirmation code to talk to them! In reality they're linking your phone number to their account!! Who knows for what, but you can fix it! Just create your own Google voice account and set up your number. Once you reply, she texts you to accept her call, and press 03 to be transferred to her to talk. Immediately after that, you will receive a call from 202-455-8888, once a minute, every minute until you answer. DO NOT ANSWER!! March 28, 2017, 1:22 pm Received Text from (727)209-7053 asking if I was still looking for a job. I text back saying "who is this?" The next morning at 6:30AM I received a text back stating "This is Victor, Thanks. OK receive the call and enter code:79 and record your voice with name and desired rate, thanks." Almost immediately my phone rang, caller ID was (202)455-8888 Washington, D.C. I ignored it until the 5th call I picked up, it was an automated message telling me to enter my code and record my info. I hung up. This number continued to call me every 2 minutes until I got to work at 700AM and had to go onto Verizon and block them. I blocked them from my phone which stopped the calls but it still allowed them to leave voicemails, which the auto machine did do, I had 20 voicemails and had to delete them all.
