August 2, 2013, 11:46 pm Scam pretending to be the Billing department at Verizon Wireless. They demand your credit card number. That is the giveaway. Why would a company you already deal with want your cc number? You usually give it to them upon signing up. Nobody gives you standard cellphone service without a credit card already on file. November 24, 2015, 7:57 pm Apparently this is a debt collection caller for Verizon Wireless and when I call the number back I get a busy signal. I am a subscriber to Verizon Wireless and so I will have to look deeper into this by calling them again later or finding another official number (so I can ensure it's legit).
